Anti Wrinkle Products-When To Start Them
We live in an image conscious society, and are constantly reminded of how important beauty is with the images of flawless skin everywhere (television, magazines, billboards). It is no surprise that we all want to maintain our looks for as long as possible.
In an attempt to do this there has been a surge in teenagers starting to use anti wrinkle products including creams and supplements. But, how young is too young when it comes to using full blown anti aging products?
It is suggested that anyone under the age of 18 should not use anti aging products, as there is really no need to at such a young age- besides you’re just wasting your money. The reason is that at this young stage the skin is still not mature, and you would find that you benefit more from a good acne regimen than an anti aging one. So, if you are under 18 stick to sunscreen, moisturizer and basic skin care products (i.e. face wash, toner) as these products should be sufficient for you.
If you are beyond the age of 18, then it is safe for you to begin using anti–aging products as by now your skin should have matured. Just make sure that you look for products that contain ingredients that are proven to be effective. You will also find that most products on the market are aimed at wrinkle prevention, so the sooner you are able to get your skin in the best possible position the better–but not too soon as referenced above. Remember that wrinkle prevention is much easier than trying to remove already established wrinkles. (Not suggesting that all hope is lost if you have wrinkles, just mentioning that it’s best to prevent them for as long as possible.)
So, if you’re still a teenager spend your time in the mall and hanging with your friends, worry about wrinkle prevention later.
